What additional costs do I need to consider from the cost transfer calculator?

After your bond has been approved and you have agreed to it, you will be responsible for covering the expenses associated with registering the bond and transferring the property.

Do I have to pay these costs?

Bond registration costs and attorney fees will always be a part of your expenses. However, if your property is valued at less than R1 000 000, you will not be obligated to pay transfer duty.

Can I negotiate these costs?

It's possible to negotiate your bond registration and transfer costs. However, transfer duty is a fee that must be paid to SARS, and it's not negotiable.
